THE RUNDOWN

Our entry fee is $30! Follow this link, create an Eminence Account if you don‘t already have one, and purchase your ticket! If you run into any trouble, let us know! The deadline to signup and finalize your decklist is 10AM sharp EST on the day of the tournament, or when all spots have been taken. You can see how many spots are remaining at the bottom of the signup link!
The deadline to enter and finalize your decklist is 10AM EST on the day of the tournament. To change your decklist after registering, sign into Eminence, hover on your name in the upper right corner, click my events, click on our upcoming tournament, and you will see a field where you can swap out your decklist for a new link! If you‘re not using a new list and simply editing your original decklist, you don‘t need to do anything! Just be aware decklists will be copied and locked in during the morning player meeting on the day of the tournament! Your decklist must match what you are playing throughout the tournament or you will risk the wrath of our judges and sadness being put on the stack!
If you need a refund, submit a ticket in our discord‘s readme channel a reasonable amount of time before the event and we‘ll sort you out!
Your camera doesn't need to break the bank, but your cards need to be recognizable by other players!

Your playspace should be set up so you can comfortably keep all cards including those in your hand, exile, graveyard, board, etc. in view 100% of the time. Consider tilting your cam towards you a little to aid in this.

A quality of life solution is to use OBS or similar software to set up a face cam, so your hand can be kept in view when you sit back. Just make sure there is overlap between your board cam and face cam so your hand is in view at all times as you move around. Just remember to practice your poker face!

Finally your internet connection must be stable. Aim to have any issues solved before tournament day or you will risk consequences, to maintain our competitive integrity.
Proxies are not only accepted but strongly encouraged! Your proxies must use official art from scryfall.com and be in color for the ease of your fellow players and stream casters!
Altered borders, art extensions and little flourishes are often okay, but the alterations must stay true to the original appearance for recognizability. Either way, you must get all alters approved by our head judge in alter-approvals!
They're allowed if the release date is prior to tournament day; otherwise not.
Plan to arrive at 10AM EST sharp (10:00 your time) for the player meeting! If you are not present you will be considered a noshow and not included in pods!
Player meeting: 10AM EST in Tournament Lobby

Roll call: 10AM. We will post fake pods, and you will join the right channel and we'll check to be sure everyone is present so the tournament can start without a hitch! After the check, you'll return to Tournament Lobby where we'll go over anything you need to know for a smooth day of fun!

Round 1: 10:30AM

Round 2: Roughly 12:20PM, barring unusual difficulties! This is an estimate. For the reality, watch pings closely so you're not late!

Round 3: Roughly 2:10PM. This is an estimate. For the reality, watch pings closely so you're not late!

Round 4: Roughly 4:15PM. This is an estimate. For the reality, watch pings closely so you're not late!

Round 5: Roughly 6:05PM. This is an estimate. For the reality, watch pings closely so you're not late!

Semifinals: Roughly 7:55PM. This is an estimate. For the reality, watch pings closely so you're not late!

Finals: Roughly 9:55PM. Semifinals are untimed so this could vary the most.

There will be one official 15min break after Round 3! If that seems miserly, remember there will be gaps between each round as the active players of slower pods finish their final turns, and there will inevitably be other delays as well, not to mention RogSi winning on turn 2 fifteen minutes into one of your matches to give you a proper chunk of downtime. We will keep you posted with plenty of annoying pings throughout the day so you know when you can safely step away!
We use Eminence's matchpairing software and will spam a link to the pods in pings at the start of each round!
The pairing software decides turn order fairly; just use the order of players for your pod in the pairing link which will be posted in pings at the start of each round! The person who creates the spelltable link for the pod must click the gear icon on the left sidebar in spelltable, click manage players, and then drag everyone into the player order on the match pairing page.
When you win a match, go to your pod's accompanying text channel, e.g pod-15-text if you're part of pod 15, and type "@Match Results, I won" in there, and make sure everyone else upvotes it! If it was a draw just type draw instead of I won. Easy!
Not allowed. Not only can it give you information for future rounds you shouldn't have access to, spelltable only allows 1 spectator, and that slot must be reserved for judges or stream casters! Please don't stream games to discord or watch streams if others do!
Feature matches will be streamed throughout the day at https://www.twitch.tv/ka0stournaments ! Please don't watch the stream while playing. You can always catch up on clips on twitch and youtube afterwords!
All shuffling and cards in any zone must be visible on camera at all times! Removing cards from view can and will result in a game loss!

Players must cut each others' decks. Each time you shuffle outside of uninterrupted tutor-chains, lay out three piles and ask a fellow player to choose which order you stack them in.

Collusion outside the match to determine game outcomes is prohibited. Players may not use any external resources other than the ones directly necessary to participating in the tournament or recording your game. This includes but is not limited to looking up decklists, even your own, or using the Krarkulator app to determine gamestate outcomes.

Players may not join other pods' VCs, watch streams of other games, or use spectate links.

Our first and foremost anti-cheating measure is you! If possible, record your games so you have evidence of any suspicious behavior (and can defend yourself if accused). Stay as vigilant as you can, and if you see suspicious behavior such as shuffling oddly or moving cards out of view, don't hesitate to call a judge! The integrity of our events depends on you.
Competetive REL in effect. No takebacks!

Players are not allowed to concede except as part of a full table concession to a player in a winning position, unless the entire pod agrees to make an exception for you. Of course, emergencies happen, and if one arises, we cannot stop players from conceding. Please please mention in drop-requests if you need to drop, if you possibly can!

Praetor's Grasp and Opposition Agent are resolved pragmatically. Pick the card you want out of your opponent's deck, letting them know which card you're picking. That opponent may not share that information with the other two players. Rules in regards to revealing this type of information can be found in the MSIPG.

Judges can offer time extensions at their discretion.

TOs and judges may disqualify players without monetary compensation at their discretion. Your discord username will be logged if you receive a penalty (DQ, game loss, warning), or when your behavior is suspicious during an event. This data will be used for other cEDH events. By participating, you agree to this information being logged.

Players must be age 18+ or have parental permission to play. Our tournaments are hosted by ka0s Tournaments Inc. from NJ, USA and follow New Jersey state law.

Pods may be recorded by us or any player. By participating you agree to being recorded!

Games must be played on spelltable using webcam. No tabletop simulators or cockatrice!
For anything you feel is relevant! Err on the side of calling judges; they're there for a reason and can resolve issues better than you can! Good reasons include but aren't limited to opponents disconnecting for more than a few seconds or moving cards out of view at any time, any disputes or confusion that arise during gameplay, or having a quick emergency come up and wanting a short time extension.

To call a judge, go to judge-call, and ping @Judges with your pod number, e.g "@Judge pod 17"
Our tournaments will show up in the tournament filter on EDH Top 16!

If you click on one of our tournaments, you will see an ordered list of our competitors; click on them to peruse their decklists!
